Recline & relax lunchtime calm space yoga
A 50-minute lunchtime class to take you through the afternoon with refreshed vigour, energy and concentration. The class uses the pawanmuktasana practice which is a sequence of joint releasing floor-based stretches to release tension in the body and mind. The class begins and ends with a breathing practice to restore the parasympathetic nervous system, which is our rest, restore and relax mode. As humans we are hard wired to be in either flight and fight mode, or rest and relax, making it is impossible to step back from the fight and flight mode without actively taking steps. This class will quickly restore us to a calm and relaxed state, using Vagal nerve toning techniques which include breathing techniques.
