The philosophical and historical elements include the Yoga Sutras, The Bhagavad Gita and the Hatha Yoga Pradipika

TANTRA/SUTRIC

Tantric and Sutric philosophies are discussed and compared from the historical backgrounds of the Vedic culture and Samkhya philosophy up to the present day.

KLESHAS

Elements of the Yoga Sutras explored include the Kleshas, Yama and Niyama, Pratyahara, Dharana and Samadhi, along with the historical and philosophical background of the Sutras.

BUSINESS OF YOGA

The business of yoga is covered comprehensively from creating a business plan, discovering a USP, profit and loss, PR, SEO and how to market a business ethically.

ANATOMY

Anatomy and physiology is included for each asana. It is also applied to areas including pranayama and bandhas.

PRANAYAMA

The science and practice of pranayama is solidly explored and how to teach beginners and including more practiced students.

VINYASA KRAMA

Vinyasa Krama is the art of constructing a sequence around a single posture that works for a class as a whole and the individuals within it. Once learned it can be applied to any situation.

SUBTLE BODY

The subtle body is comprehensively covered through the Nadis, Vayus, Granthis, Koshas and Chakras.

MEDITATION

The practice and teaching of meditation is included and discusses the moral and ethical aspects of how and when it is correct to teach it.
